The Art of Mixology

Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is full of surprises, offers not only a vast variety of services like the Gym & Sports Center, the Emerald Spa, the Diving Center and various restaurants but, as well the chance of having a drink throughout the day. The resort gives you the opportunity of having a mid day smoothie or an aperitif with family and friends in one of the two bars located on the Island, the Sunset Pool Café and the Sunrise Café.

With beach oriented design the two bars are ready to welcome Emerald guests with healthy, fresh detox smoothie, classic or extravagant cocktails as well as a selection of beers, wines and spirits. The bartenders are ready to satisfy every request with fresh ingredients, and serve either delicate, creamy or spicy cocktails. An example could be the “Fasmendhoo Energizer”, a cocktail created to enhance your mental alertness and physical performance by having a refreshing blend of fresh banana, vanilla syrup, vanilla ice cream and coconut cream. The “Basil Lemonade” instead is a very refreshing drink for hot temperatures, a drink in which lemonade and honey are mixed with basil and infused for 30 minutes to 1 hour before straining it. On the other hand, we have the “Cardamom Crush” a spicy drink with grapefruit, fresh lime, cardamom, tonic and a citrus explosion that takes classic orange juice to a whole new level.

Each cocktail has a special ingredient that makes it unique, and both Sunset Pool Café and the Sunrise Café offer a vast selection of drinks to satisfy guests' wants and expectations. A selection that is also suitable for the different hours of the day, whether you prefer having a morning coffee or tea, or an afternoon/evening cocktail. Also, not to be missed is the “Fasmendhoo Café”, a special recipe that includes Patron XO café tequila with espresso coffee, vanilla flavoured, fresh cream and a touch of cinnamon essence.
